The walk back to the car was always the worst…

After walking all day in the Carolina sun, I could feel the sweat dripping down my forehead as I attempted to get one last drop of water out of my plastic seasonal souvenir cup while exiting the park. Growing up, Carowinds was my home for the summer. Not only was it a fun time to burn energy but it was meaningful to build a connection with my pawpaw who took me every time. Theme Parks were “OUR” thing. After the treacherous walk back to the car, we would go to the gas station and get the hot dog special for $4. Going to Carowinds over the summer instilled in me a passion for theme parks. To run wild & ride the rides over and over again was top tier, but to be immersed in the experience is what kept me coming back summer after summer.

As I enter early adulthood, I want to keep that magic going. I want to be a part of that magic, those immersive experiences that once drew me in so deeply. Through Events, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, and Theatre, I aim to create connections with guests and sustain everlasting memories.
