Majoring in Journalism is one of the greatest things I could do for myself. The Hussman School gives me a foundation in all things writing, but I have been able to take several courses that help improve my skills in the communication field.
Interactive Media
To be an efficient multimedia storyteller, having a foundation of media tools gives me the resources I need to execute different ideas. Throughout this course, I developed projects in UI/UX Design and Content Management Systems and learned how to utilize HTML, CSS, & JavaScript to formulate websites and graphics.

Graphic Design
In this course, I learned the basic principles of visual communication and how to apply them in concert with design methodologies in order to solve communication and design problems. I also learned how to utilize software and production skills throughout design fundamentals and a portfolio.

Theatre
I am still involved in Theatre despite this being my first year at UNC! I am currently playing the role of Hipster Dork in Company Carolina’s Heathers the Musical!
When I am not on stage, I work as a Broadway Merchandise Seller for the local shows that come to town! It is a great way for me to in the notion of live theatre and still building connections with people!
